Interviewer- Sell me your pen. And don’t give me crap. I got a Parker already.
Neal- This is writo meter.
[Objection 1]
Interviewer- It’s a crap. I don’t want to use a cheap 20 bucks pen. I’m a manager.
Neal- This 20 rupees pen can help you build integrity in your company. It will motivate your employees and achieve a high retention rate. Hence, you will have more productivity.
[By putting the meat on the table, Neal generated curiosity in the mind of the interviewer. Now, interviewer is ready to listen to him. And of course he wants to know more about it.]

Interviewer- How?
Neal- A single pen runs 10,000 meter. It will last long.
Interviewer- So what?
Neal- After writing 1000 meters, you can pass it to your subordinate, then after writing 1000 meters more, he can also pass it to his subordinate. The process will go on. In this way the lowest ranked employee can have his hand on the pen which was used by the company’s highest ranked employee. It will definitely build an integrity.
[Objection 2]
Interviewer- Okay. But I will discuss with my team later and get back to you.
[Now, the interviewer is ready to buy but he needs more push.]
Neal- This pen costs 20 rupees. This will save your operating cost as you will pass it on down the line. It will be also environmental friendly as you are going to use less number of pen in your company, hence, less plastic. You can use the word “environment friendly process” in your marketing campaigns to boost sales.
[Objection 3]
Interviewer- Okay, I will place an order tomorrow.
[We all know tomorrow never comes. He might change his mind.]
Neal- No problem Sir. You can place the bulk order tomorrow. But, I want you to try this pen personally before taking any decision. I want you to set an example of integrity today. Take one pen today as a sample, it costs only 20 rupees.
